His elder brother, Arman Hossain, said Faisal had left home claiming he was going to Dubai for a job at a hijama center. The family last spoke to him before Eid-ul-Adha. Since then, they had been unable to contact him despite repeated attempts.

Faisal’s father works as an electrician, while his elder brother Arman is employed as a deliveryman for Daraz.

Pakistan-based journalist Jawad Yousafzai shared several photos from the site where the TTP fighters were killed. He reported that Pakistani security forces recovered a Bangladeshi ID card, currency, and other documents from one of the bodies.

Meanwhile, another Bangladeshi fighting for TTP against the Pakistani army confirmed Faisal’s death by posting his picture on Facebook.

Earlier, on April 27 this year, a Bangladeshi named Ahmed Zubair was killed along with 54 TTP members in a Pakistani army airstrike in North Waziristan.

According to a report by The Dissent in May, at least four Bangladeshis have been killed in just over a year while fighting against the Pakistani army. Following these incidents, in July, police in Bangladesh arrested at least two people on charges of having links with the TTP.
